The D'Addario Woodwinds Method Program
The D'Addario Woodwinds Method Program is centered around creating an easier and more enjoyable music-making experience through
exploring equipment and pedagogy. Available throughout the United States and Europe, Method Program sessions are available
for clarinet and saxophone students and are offered in various intervals of time.
Each session is tailored to the individual need of the educator and students. Topics covered can include fundamentals of
clarinet and saxophone playing (embouchure, breathing and use of air, hand and finger position, and articulation), elements
of musicianship (aural skills, intonation, and rhythm), music entrepreneurship, selection and care of reeds and other
equipment, repertoire coaching, and performance skills.
Students will be given the opportunity to experience the latest in equipment innovation from D'Addario and to understand
the pedagogical benefits of various mouthpiece, reed, and ligature choices.
